An opinion for life and the dignity of the continent

Who are we

The Latin-American Human Rights Organization, ALDHU, founded in 1980, is an international and non-governmental organization dedicated to the defense, promotion and protection of human rights, understood as a holistic perspective. Taking into account the advised statures of the Economic and Social Counsel of the United Nations (ECOSOC) and the UNESCO. It is also a mediating advice counsel for the Andean Parliament and permanently maintains permanent relations with other multilateral organisms of the region.

ALDHU´s headquarters are in Quito, Ecuador and have regional and national offices in other countries in addition to representative in more than 20 countries all over the world.

What do we do

ALDHU ignites the fight for the construction and realization of human rights and democracy in Latin America and the Caribbean. For those at the ALDHU, they relate and work with a multitude of social actors and state agents, always searching for the generation of consensus and negotiable ends to the social conflicts that are directly in our area of work, from a pluralistic point of view, never exclusive. We take into account the indigenous organizations, unions, academicians, gender associations, Non-Governmental Organizations, national, regional and international, communitarian association, national and regional Parliament.
